That's a good shiner. He will have lots of fun getting all the attention with this injury! I am glad that it wasn't worse that it was. The adventures with kids!
Nurse Nan says to keep him well covered with sunscreen for the first year. They tell all their patients not to get a sunburn on the scar for the first year to prevent bad scarring.

That looks's painful! I'm glad I've never had stitches.
